"To Mike Murn and the Haven Harbour Team... We just wanted to thank Mike and all the staff for helping us enjoy what has become a much anticipated annual event for us sailors from Baltimore. Your marina and facilities are hands down the best on the bay, and you have a great group of very friendly and hospitable slip holders, too! We were very pleased to see the efforts of marina owner Bill Brawner to create a "Town Square", which will be a catalyst for economic activity. Rock Hall can be proud to have a business whose staff really cares about serving its customers and at the same time whose owner invests in the future of the community. Have a successful boating season and we hope to see you again next year!"

"This message is long overdue. Our boat was in for a bow-thruster installation during the first week of May. Ever since, we’ve enjoyed maneuvering capability during docking and anchoring which is way above our expectations. It was Bill Neff and your entire yard staff which made it possible. This all began in 2009 at the US Sailboat show in Annapolis. We sail a 57-foot Hudson Force 50 ketch which is a full-keeled heavy displacement blue water sailboat. As such, Kukaro, can be a real challenge to maneuver in tight marinas especially when the winds are above 10 knots or current is present. We made the decision that bow-thrusters were needed. So shopping we went! It came down to deciding between Vetus and Imtra’s “Side-Power” thrusters as the most widely used and dependable units. Bill Neff and the Imtra staff provided an estimate which was a couple thousand dollars better than Vetus’ so we made a deposit to secure the hardware and schedule the installation for spring of 2010. Then the economy took over in early 2010 and I lost my job. Having bow thrusters suddenly had to give way to other more important items. Bill and Haven Harbour were very understanding and said they’d hold the equipment and price for when we were back on our feet. Luckily, by late 2010, I had a job offer so we rescheduled the work for spring of 2011. The yard crew expertly handled us in the remotely controlled travel lift and we were blocked in stands just outside one of the large service sheds. We planned to sand and paint the entire bottom while Bill and crew were busy cutting and glassing the thruster tunnel. Power and compressed air were provided for our needs during this work. The marina allowed us to stay in the “VIP” room above the yacht club since the interior of our boat was uninhabitable with all the dust and resin smells being generated in the V-berth. Work was begun right on schedule and completed without incident. Since I had completed the preparations for the tunnel and provided all the electrical circuitry for the thrusters even more than Bill had anticipated, he discounted the installation fee an additional amount which was a very nice surprise. We were launched only four days after the work began. We managed to back into a slip while a 15-knot wind blew from the beam … a maneuver which would have been impossible before, but easily did it with the just the thrusters and gear shift. Another nice surprise came later during anchoring. Those of us who sail boats with bowsprits supported by “bob-stays” need to keep the anchor chain from fouling that rigging during dropping and weighing of the anchor. This is now a single-handed exercise when equipped with remote controlled thrusters all from the bowsprit. The column of water shooting out of the tunnel is quite impressive when viewed from that angle. The “Side-Power” thrusters have dual, counter-rotating props that generate an amazing amount of power almost instantly In conclusion, it is refreshing to know that a yard like Haven Harbour is available to deliver the kind of high-quality service which unfortunately is becoming increasingly rare. In our week at your facility, we also observed bottom work, rigging and painting of a professional quality that matches that of our thruster installation We'd be glad to serve as a reference for outehr sailors in need of your skills."

"Lest there be any doubt, we are thrilled with your work, but it is the attitude of each of you that has made this experience particularly therapeutic for me, which in turn gave Margie a measure of comfort. Each of you has in some way saw earnestly to Whisper's benefit, which in turn helped me relax and focus on more important matters."
"Just a note to say THANK YOU for the repair work performed on my Yanmar 2GM20F engine. The repair work was done as requested and in a timely manner. Please thank Hank and the entire Haven Harbour staff for their assistance in making a difficult problem less troublesome."
"...everyone at Haven Harbour was fantastic just like you said they would be. This was by far the best experience I've had to date with ANYONE doing service work on my boat. Mark and the whole gang was very professional. The work that was completed was done to a very high standard. And my boat was returned to me in the same condition that I dropped it off in. AMAZING!!!!! But all kidding aside I want you to know that I appreciated all your efforts and that your recommendation to go to Haven Harbour was a good one. I will spread the word about their facility and the manner in which they do business. I'm impressed."
"We value the diligence, competence and reliability of your entire organization toward quality of work, customer focus and continuous efforts to achieve competitive advantage for slip holders and patrons."

"I'll never return your customer critique forums because you guys do an incredibly good job. I love your technical work-and you and Woody are the best. Your dock staff is always friendly-and helpful the couple of times I've asked for a hand."
"There are many aspects to this Marina and its services, the clearly favorites part for me is that the marina has trained and maintains the expertise of its service personnel in the aspects of diesel engine maintenance and service for every kind of manufacturer. My engine is a Westerbek, an old Westerbek(1972) and it is important to be able to service the engine with experts as well as keep up to the mark with electronics, namely Raytheon. The Marina with Woody and John prides itself on responding to each yacht owners needs no matter the size."
