Haven Harbour Yacht Services' spring 2026 Seminar Series – hosted by Erik Lostrom, marine technology coordinator at Chesapeake College – came to a close last Saturday with its third and final session on boat maintenance topics that included spring commissioning, recommended products and best practices.

"We had a great turn out with excellent questions on the topics covered," said Erik. "The session helped give boaters well-informed spring maintenance pointers when it comes to some very overlooked topics. We also highlighted some new products that are now available for folks to use."

Sessions I and II occurred in January and February, respectively, and delved into subjects such as how to maintain your vessel to keep costs down and enjoyment up, thruster installation, windlass equipment and maintenance, solid-state batteries and more.

"We try to cover topics that boaters find helpful, whether they do the work on their own or have Haven Harbour do it. This gives the average customer a better understanding how things should be performed and what the costs are," added Erik.
